I have been in Spondon today speaking with residents about where we are as a country, and about how a fresh start with Labour will provide real action on the cost-of-living crisis. Labour’s pledge to launch Great British Energy is part of our response to the financial hardship many face. Great British Energy will be a publicly owned clean power company that will cut bills and boost energy security. It will be paid for by a windfall tax on the huge profits of the oil and gas giants.
